We also watched a Discovery Education video on the Mesoamerica civilizations that we have been learning about through our projects (students may have to log in to Discovery Ed to watch). Additionally, students heard the first chapter of the book, "A Long Walk To Water".

In Class: Several groups began presenting their Mesoamerica projects. Next, with a partner, we reviewed our NCFE practice packet from last week. Partner sets decided which answer made the most sense. As I shared the answers with students, they were asked to reflect on why they may have answered the question incorrectly. Finally, I read the 1st chapter of the book "The Benefits Of Being An Octopus" by Ann Braden.

In Class: Students worked on their presentations today--some groups even practiced and were SO GOOD (I was sneaking around listening to them!)!
NOTE ABOUT THE PROJECTS:
1) PowerPoint/Google Slides do NOT have to be printed out(the directions say that they do)...they DO have to be shared with me before the end of class Friday.
2) For kids doing plays/re-enactments/news broadcasts--scripts must be turned in by the end of class Friday. If the plays/re-enactments/news broadcasts are being done on video, the video should be turned in on Friday as well--HOWEVER, I will accept them on Tuesday too.
3) Any papers/products that are hand-written must be neatly written in pen and turned in to me --OR-- must be TYPED and SHARED WITH ME via email/Google Classroom.
